20/2000 - Gabriel I.

Gabriel was relaxing in Domino Park in the Little Havana section of Miami when I met him.  He was born in Cuba and emigrated to the United States 52 years ago.  He is a retired accountant and was keeping everyone amused by being able to name every state capital and even share facts about them.

19/1000 - Fred X.

I ran into Fred X. in a fast food restaurant in Boynton Beach, FL.  I couldn't help but notice the shoes he was wearing.  He was more than happy to pose for a photo, but when I asked him afterward to tell me about himself he got a bit shy.  He did mention that sometimes he wears a similar all white outfit as well.

16 & 17/1000 - Bob T. & Louis M.

I met Bob T. (L) and Louis M. 14 & 15/1000 - Dan & Lisa D.

Dan & Lisa D.  of Merrick, NY were at Planting Fields Arboretum visiting a bench that was recently installed honoring their son, Eric, who died tragically last year.  Lisa asked me and another photographer if we would take their photo with the bench, which we were more than happy to do.  They are also founding members of the Long Island Fingertyle Guitar Club.

12/1000 - Robert P.

Near my office is a supermarket where I often go to the deli to get lunch.  Robert P. is one of the deli guys.  A native of the Dominican Republic, he resides in Hicksville, NY.  He's an avid baseball player and for some reason a Mets fan.

This is my 12th post and today is 12-12-12.  How cool is that?

11/1000 - Coach

McSorley's Ale House is the oldest Bar in NYC.  Coach has been the weekend doorman for the past 20 years.  That seems long until you realize that the bar is 158 years old.

9/1000 - Richie H.

There is a dead end street behind my office with two houses down at the end.  A few weeks ago I was surprised to hear the "Mr. Softee" ice cream truck song going down the street.  Between the office building and the houses Richie H made a few sales and kept coming back regularly.  He is from Queens, NY and when he's not selling ice cream, likes to draw and ride his motorcycle.
